Other animals often spotted in the park include leopards, lions, giraffes, zebras, buffalo, antelopes, baboons, and even tree-climbing phytons, as well as a wide variety of bird species. At noon we will have lunch at a nice picnic area in the park, and in the late afternoon we will drive to Karatu to spend the night in a lodge - on the way we will stop at the Lake Manyara viewpoint.

DAY 2 from Karatu to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast we drive about 5 hours to the land of the Serengeti, where we will only stop for check-in on the way to the Ngorongoro crater while we cross the Serengeti. Around noon we reach the Serengeti National Park, which is the oldest and largest national park in Tanzania and covers an area of 14.763 square kilometers. The name Serengeti comes from “Siringet”, a Maasai word that means “endless expanses. The park is known worldwide for its abundance of wildlife and its high biodiversity. There you have the opportunity to see all BIG FIVE. Depending on the season, you will witness the migration of thousands of animals for which this park is famous. In November and December the herds migrate from the hills in the north to the plains in the south. From April to June you will return to the north. This is their circle of life and it depends on the annual rainfall and the locations of the herds can vary from year to year. That is why we give you professional guides who know where to find the animals so that you can enjoy the safari. We will spend the night in the center of the Serengeti at the Pimbi public campsite. Lunch and dinner are eaten there.

DAY 3 from Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

We'll get up early for an early morning game drive. Then we return to the camp for breakfast before setting off on another safari through the park. Here in the Serengeti, you'll often see wildebeest and zebras in close proximity to lions and other predators such as leopards and cheetahs. After a picnic lunch, we will continue the journey to the Ngorongoro Crater. As soon as we have reached the crater rim, we will enjoy the fantastic views of this 600m deep collapsed volcano. We spend the night at the Simba campsite, which is located on the edge of the crater.
